Slovníky Annotation The textbook is designed for intermediate / upper intermediate students of general medicine. Students are provided with a selection of authentic texts accompanied by a series of skill and task-based activities designed to develop their reading effectiveness in combination with the other skills. Texts have been taken from British and American sources and have been chosen so as to be relevant, interesting and challenging for the students to read. The textbook is divided into 24 units planned to be covered in two semesters. They present various interesting medical topics. Each topic stands independently and it is up to teacher to decide which topics and tasks will be practised and how much time they deserve.
