It contains texts on various reading techniques for faster and more efficient processing of information, as well as exercises to develop vocabulary and professional dental terminology. The texts in the presented textbook were compiled with an emphasis on topicality and current trends in dentistry. This fact reflects a wide range of topics, from treatment and surgical procedures in orthodontics, through periodontal diseases to the use of artificial intelligence in dentistry. Thematic areas in the textbook reflect the latest developments in modern technologies used in the field of dentistry. The exercises in the textbook are focused on grammatical phenomena using a specific vocabulary of dentistry, which allows students not only to practice grammar, but also to acquire vocabulary.----------- Učebnica je navrhnutá tak, aby študentov nielen naučila efektívne pracovať s anglicky písanými odbornými textmi, ale tiež im poskytuje nástroje na hlbšie porozumenie odborných článkov a vedeckých štúdií, s ktorými sa budú stretávať počas svojho povolania. Obsahuje texty na rôzne techniky čítania na rýchlejšie a efektívnejšie spracovanie informácií, ako aj cvičenia na rozvoj slovnej zásoby a odbornej terminológie zubného lekárstva. Texty v predkladanej učebnici boli zostavované s dôrazom na aktuálnosť a súčasné trendy v zubnom lekárstve. Túto skutočnosť odráža široké spektrum tém, od liečby a chirurgických zákrokov v ortodoncii, cez choroby parodontu až po využitie umelej inteligencie v zubnom lekárstve. Tematické okruhy v učebnici reflektujú najnovší vývoj v moderných technológiách používaných v oblasti stomatológie.
