V súčasnosti je riešené územie nevyužívaným a chátrajúcim priestorom, ktorý od svojho vzniku neprešiel takmer žiadnymi zmenami. Práca sa zameriava na teoretické poznatky z oblasti mestského prostredia, negatívnych vplyvov a možné ekologické riešenia, ktoré slúžili ako podklad pri tvorbe analýz a návrhu. Metodika práce popisuje kvalitu a kvantitu vegetačného krytu a jeho ďalší prínos pre verejný priestor, ďalej funkcie plôch, dôležité pre správnu zonáciu a v neposlednom rade obyvateľov a ich predstavy o nami riešenom priestore. Medzi hlavné problémy územia patrí nedostatok mobiliaru, plôch stretávania a chátrajúce po-vrchy asfaltových ihrísk a komunikácií. Jednotlivé časti vnútrobloku boli pretvorené na komu-nitné a spoločenské zóny doplnené o atraktívnu trvalkovú výsadbu, renovácie pôvodných ihrísk a doplnenie vhodného mobiliaru. Ďalej sa práca zameriava na ekologické riešenie priestoru s využitím opatrení pre zmenu klímy ako sú zelené strechy, zelené steny a priepustné povrchy (nekosené lúky, mlat). Výsledkom diplomovej práce je komplexná štúdia s návrhom riešenia, ktorá kladie dôraz nie len na revitalizáciu a zatraktívnenie priestorov vnútrobloku ale aj na ze-lené a adaptačné opatrenia. 520 $a Author’s abstract: The diploma thesis deals with the revitalisation of the inner block space in the city of Žilina in the housing estate Vlčince II. Currently, the area is an unused and dilapidated space, which has undergone almost no changes since its creation. The thesis focuses on the theoretical knowledge of the urban environment, negative impacts and possible ecological solutions, which served as a basis for the development of the analysis and design. The methodology of the thesis describes the quality and quantity of the vegetation cover and its further contri-bution to the public space, the functions of the areas, important for proper zoning and last but not least the inhabitants and their perceptions of the space we have addressed. The main problems of the area include the lack of mobiliar, meeting areas and dilapidated surfaces of asphalt playgrounds and roads. Individual parts of the courtyard have been transformed into community and social zones, complemented by attractive perennial planting, renovation of the original playgrounds and the addition of appropriate furnishings. Furthermore, the work focuses on the ecological design of the space using climate change measures such as green roofs, green walls and permeable surfaces (unmown meadows, gravel surfaces).
