$a The 5th and largest cranial nerve. The trigeminal nerve is a mixed motor and sensory nerve. The larger sensory part forms the ophthalmic, mandibular, and maxillary nerves which carry afferents sensitive to external or internal stimuli from the skin, muscles, and joints of the face and mouth and from the teeth. Most of these fibers originate from cells of the TRIGEMINAL GANGLION and project to the TRIGEMINAL NUCLEUS of the brain stem. The smaller motor part arises from the brain stem trigeminal motor nucleus and innervates the muscles of mastication. $8 eng 450 $a Cranial Nerve V $5 e $8 eng 450 $a Fifth Cranial Nerve $5 e $8 eng 450 $a nervus trigeminus $5 e $8 slo 450 $a nerv trigeminálny $5 e $8 slo 450 $a nerv piaty hlavový $5 e $8 slo 450 $a nerv V. kraniálny $5 e $8 slo 550 $3 sllk_un_auth*d065821 $Y Pontine Tegmentum $5 F $a tegmentum pontis 550 $3 sllk_un_auth*d014277 $Y Trigeminal Neuralgia $5 F $a neuralgia trojklaného nervu 550 $3 sllk_un_auth*d014277 $Y Trigeminal Neuralgia $5 B $a neuralgia trojklaného nervu 550 $3 sllk_un_auth*d065821 $Y Pontine Tegmentum $5 B $a tegmentum pontis 686 $a A08.800.800.120.760 750 $a Trigeminal Nerve $8 eng 801 -0
