(Christopher Wilson is an educator who teaches and consults in health care governance and quality assurance in Canada and the United Kingdom. Prior to establishing his own practice in 1992, Wilson gained extensive experience in hospitals first in the United States and in Canada before joining the staff of the Ontario Hospital Association in 1978. During his 14 years with the OHA, Wilson acted as a management consultant to small hospitals in the province, helping to design workable models for quality and service effectiveness. Dr. Wilson was educated in Law at Cambridge University, Theology at the Episcopal Theological School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Adult Education at the University of Toronto. He received his Ph.D. from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education in 1977. In 1992 he was appointed an Honorary Fellow of Manchester University for his work in quality assurance. Wilson is widely published. In addition to more than 50 articles published in scholarly and professional journals, he has written four monographs for different agencies and three books: Hospital-wide quality assurance (1978), Governing with distinction (1988), and New on board (1991).)
