Spôsobu jeho využitia nesmie prekážať zloženie trosky s dôrazom na obsah ťažkých kovov. Rastlina musí byť schopná narásť na tejto troske po optimálnej rekultivácii. Experimentálne som zistil vhodné využitie Amaranthus, ktoré spĺňalo všetky požiadavky a to ako rezaný tovar pri aranžovaní. Za najvhodnejší druh som prostredníctvom pokusov v katastrálnom území Mást I a následne na substrátoch namiešaných z ornice a trosky zo Serede vybral Amaranthus curtains – valvet curtains. Najvhodnejší substrát pre pestovanie na spomínanej halde bol v pomere 50/25. Zaoberal som sa aj propagáciou Amaranthus najmä mojim vystúpením v TV – Teleráno a tak sa mi podarilo zvýšiť aj dopyt po tomto druhu. Overoval som aj možnosti predĺženia jeho trvanlivosti v rezanom stave. Zo všetkých mojich pokusov a aktivít vyplýva, že Amaranthus je možné využívať v kvetinárstve ako veľmi hodnotný a žiadaný tovar. Odporúčal by som ho pestovať v našich podmienkach, aby sa obmedzil jeho dovoz, prípadne by pestovatelia takto získali aj ďalšie možnosti zamestnania. Autorský abstrakt: The objective of my thesis was to choose a suitable species Amaranthus and the method of its subsequent use after cultivating it on the nickel slag from the smelter plant in the city of Sereď. The method of its use should not be hampered by the slag’s composition, especially the heavy metals. The plant must be able to grow up on this slag after an optimal recultivation. By experimentation I have discovered a suitable use of Amaranthus, which met all conditions for a cut product in flower arrangements. Through the experiments in the cadastral area Mást I and subsequently on the substrates mixed from top soil and slag from Sereď, I have chosen Amaranthus curtains – valvet curtains as most suitable. The best substrate for the plant’s cultivation on this slag heap was in the ratio of 50/25. In addition to that, I was involved in propagation of Amaranthus, namely by my appearance on the TV show – “Teleráno”, by which I have managed to also increase the demand also for this species. I have also examined the possibilities of lengthening its durability after the flower is cut. All my experiments and activities lead to the conclusion that Amaranthus can be used in flower shops as a very valuable and marketable product. I would recommend it be cultivated in our conditions in order to limit its import and possibly provide more employment opportunities for domestic growers.
