Kapitola rodinná záhrada sa zaoberá charakterom rodinnej záhrady, jej funkciami a historickým vývojom. Formy a etapy zakladania záhrad v rôznych častiach sveta ovplyvnené rôznymi kultúrami približuje kapitola historické aspekty zakladania záhrad. Predstavuje typické prvky a ráz orientálnych, gréckych, talianskych alebo anglických záhrad, tiež zobrazuje stručný prehľad vývoja záhradníctva na Slovensku. V časti funkcie záhrady sa zaoberám jednotlivými funkciami, ktoré plní záhrada (oddych, hobby, reprezentácia). Na túto časť je priamo naviazaná kapitola, ktorá sa venuje členeniu záhradného priestoru v závislosti od funkčných častí záhrady, ich charakteristikou a zladením do kompozičného celku. Ďalšou dôležitou časťou mojej práce je kapitola, v ktorej sa venujem vplyvom klimatických podmienok na založenie záhrady, najmä teplotných podmienok, slnečného svitu, tiež polohe a konfigurácii pozemku, jeho orientácii na svetové strany. Potrebu výberu vhodného obdobia na založenie záhrady vysvetľuje kapitola vplyvu sezónnych aspektov. V nej rozoberám možnosti založenia záhrady z hľadiska ročných období aj nárokov jednotlivých druhov rastlín, príp. klimatických podmienok. Kapitoly projektová príprava a technologické postupy a kvalita rastlinného materiálu priamo ovplyvňujú charakter a vzhľad novozaloženej záhrady aj jej postupný vývoj. Zdôrazňujú potrebu vypracovania projektovej prípravy, zoznamujú s prácami, ktoré je potrebné vykonať pred založením záhrady a následným výberom vhodného rastlinného materiálu. V poslednej kapitole, ktorá sa venuje údržbe záhrady je vysvetlená potreba údržby nielen trávnika, jednotlivých rastlín ale aj doplňujúcich architektonických prvkov. Autorský abstrakt: In the introduction of our thesis we make the acquaintance of the importance of garden in human history. The chapter called Family garden deals with the nature of family garden, its functions and historical development. The forms and stages of landscaping in various parts of the world affected by various cultures are mentioned in the chapter entitled Historical aspects of Landscaping. It represents the typical elements and character of Oriental, Greek, Italian or English gardens. It also shows a brief overview of the gardening development in Slovakia. The section of the Function of Garden concerns with the individual functions performed by a garden such as leisure time, hobby, and representation. This section is directly linked with a chapter dedicated to the division of the garden space depending on the functional parts of the garden, its characteristics and reconciliation to the whole stack. Another important part of our thesis is the chapter which deals with the impact of climate conditions on the establishment of garden; in particular it deals with the thermal conditions, sunshine, as well as its location and configuration of the land and its orientation to the cardinal points. The chapter - The impacts of seasonal factors explains the necessity of selection of suitable period to garden establishment. In this chapter we discuss the possibilities of setting up garden in term of seasons and claims of every individual plant or climatic conditions. Chapters such as Project preparation, Technological procedures and the quality of plant material directly affect the character and visual appearance of the newly founded garden and its gradual evolution. These chapters emphasize the necessity of the design of project preparation, aquatint with the work which have to be carried out before establishing the garden and subsequent selecting the appropriate plant material. The final chapter deals with the garden maintenance. In this chapter we explain the necessity not only of lawn maintenance, but also the maintenance of the individual plants and additional architectural elements.
