Prieskum pozostáva z dvoch celkov – analýza vnímania motivačného systému zamestnancami a manažmentom organizácie. Uvedené zistenia výskumu boli vyhodnotené a porovnané. Identifikovanou príčinou nepriaznivého stavu motivácie je vysoký stav neistoty, nízka miera vzájomného pochopenia, neznalosť optimálneho spôsobu dosahovania cieľov a nedostatočná úroveň komunikácie manažmentu so zamestnancami. Autorský abstrakt: The aim of this thesis is to assess the situation in a motivation system within a specific organisation and the way in which it is seen by management and employees. In its first part, this work focuses on presenting an overview of existing knowledge on the issue. The concept and importance of motivation are discussed and the overview of theories on human resources management and motivation systems in an organisation is provided. The practical part of the thesis is centred on the motivation research conducted in a specific organisation. The research consists of two parts, providing an analysis of the motivation system as seen by employees and management respectively. Consequently, the research results were evaluated and compared. The sub-objective of this thesis is to compare the results from the viewpoint of employees and management. The findings revealed that management appraise the situation in employee motivation considerably more favourably than employees. The application of research findings to the knowledge of Maslow´s hierarchy of needs is the centre of this thesis. Accompanied by a description and explanation, obtained data are classified according to the pyramid of needs. The unfavourable situation in motivation has been caused by a high level of uncertainty, low level of mutual understanding, lack of knowledge of the optimum way of achieving objectives, and insufficient communication between management and employees. Therefore, the organisation should pursue the improvement of relations, increase awareness, consider the needs and opinions of employees, and increase the level of freedom given to employees to perform their tasks.
