Skúmali sme spôsob ich uplatňovania v spoločnosti, ako aj ich vnímanie zo strany zamestnancov. Na základe získaných odpovedí z dotazníkového šetrenia sme zisťovali úroveň implementácie ESG štandardov vo všeobecnosti, ich prejavy v environmentálnej, sociálnej a riadiacej oblasti, ako aj hlavné príležitosti a hrozby súvisiace s ich uplatňovaním. Zároveň sme sa zamerali aj na mieru informovanosti respondentov o tejto problematike a na ich hodnotenie vybraných aktivít spoločnosti v oblasti ESG. Diplomová práca je rozdelená na päť kapitol. V prvej a druhej kapitole sme sa zamerali na vymedzenie podstaty ESG štandardov, základných pojmov súvisiacich s ESG, jednotlivých pilierov ESG a ich implementácie v podniku. Pozornosť sme venovali aj ich prepojeniu s udržateľnosťou, spoločenskou zodpovednosťou a aktuálnymi požiadavkami podnikateľského prostredia. Tretia kapitola je venovaná definícií cieľu práce a vo štvrtej kapitole popisujeme metódy a spôsoby, ako ciel práce dosiahneme. Zároveň v nej vymedzujeme aj limity nášho výskumu. Základ vlastného výskum práce tvorí dotazníkové šetrenie realizované medzi zamestnancami vybranej spoločnosti. Výsledky, ktoré sú spracované v kapitole päť ukázali, že implementácia ESG štandardov je vo všeobecnosti hodnotená skôr priaznivo, avšak nie úplne jednoznačne. Zároveň sa ukázalo, že väčšina respondentov pojem ESG poznala len čiastočne alebo ho nepoznala vôbec, čo poukazuje na nižšiu mieru informovanosti zamestnancov o tejto problematike. Za silnejšie stránky boli vnímané najmä vybrané environmentálne a sociálne aktivity, kým v riadiacej oblasti sa častejšie objavovali menej presvedčivé hodnotenia. V piatej kapitole práce sme vyhodnotili získané výsledky, interpretovali zistenia a formulovali odporúčania pre skúmanú spoločnosť. Author’s abstract: This diploma thesis focuses on the implementation of ESG standards in a selected company, with particular attention to how these standards are perceived by employees. The aim of the thesis was to assess the way ESG standards are implemented within the company and to identify the main challenges and opportunities related to their application. Based on responses collected through a questionnaire survey, the thesis examines the overall level of ESG implementation, its manifestations in the environmental, social and governance areas, as well as the main opportunities and threats associated with it. It also considers the respondents’ level of awareness of this issue and their evaluation of selected ESG-related activities carried out by the company. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first two chapters focus on defining the essence of ESG standards, the basic concepts related to ESG, the individual ESG pillars, and their implementation in a business setting. Attention is also given to their connection with sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and current business requirements. The third chapter focuses on formulating the thesis objective, while the fourth chapter outlines the methods and approaches we used to achieve it. It also sets out the limitations of our research. Our research is based on a questionnaire survey conducted among employees of the selected company. The results, presented in chapter five, showed that the implementation of ESG standards is generally perceived rather positively, although not entirely consistently. The majority of respondents were only partially familiar with the term ESG or were not familiar with it at all, which points to a lower level of employee awareness of this topic. The findings also highlighted both strengths and weaknesses in the company’s approach to ESG implementation.
